As I bring this first cycle of 24 stories in The Casebook Of Elisha Grey to a close, in redrafting Casebook VIII I'm acutely aware of the importance of details: those from other stories, even the first story; how people dress and behave; how relationships have changed; how basic talents and gifts are used, and expanded through others.
As I enter the second redraft (and some rewriting) of Casebook VIII this week I'll be keeping my focus on similar details, in order to keep the characters as alive and vibrant as possible.
I will, after all, when the final draft is done sometime next month and it's published, be missing all of these characters.
