I can't believe I'm on the final editing clean-up pass...but I am! The Casebook of Elisha Grey IV will be uploaded within the next few weeks!
Here's the cover....
And here's the short synopsis of the three novelettes in this volume:
The Bones In The Cornerstone -- Kiara Ptolmai and Kamay Pellay are assigned by Magnus Wren, Architecture professor at the Temple of Learning in Atlantis, to assist with the renovation and expansion of an old school building, which contains human remains. Elisha Grey helps investigate whether or not the bones are a result of a crime -- and Kamay Pellay discovers more about his Lemurian heritage, as well as his genetic predisposition to psychotic episodes.
The Rebirth of the Crime-Ridden Slum -- Kiara Ptolmai has already been asked by her lover, Astanax Seneca, to help with a run-down property in Atlantis. Constable Kaliska Saukenuk comes to Elisha Grey to tell him about the increased criminal activity in the neighborhood -- which is her family home and in which she is residing. Professor Magnus Wren has consented to work on the project. Kamay Pellay will be assisting as an artist. And, as Elisha Grey points out, when changes that may benefit a neighborhood are brought about, the criminal activity can temporarily increase.
The Sabotaged Lift -- I won't say much here, except that an important character dies, and that the story is a testament to how grief, and honoring the grieving process, is part of the healing process and changes relationships.
